American Legacy Tours

Queen City Underground Tour: Enjoy a lively, fact-packed tour of Over-the-Rhine’s colorful 19th and early 20 th century past. The tour begins in Cincinnati’s newest hotspot, the Gateway District, where history resides deep within the latest urban renovations. You’ll visit buildings that were home to over 130 saloons, bars and beer gardens, and theaters that hosted iconic entertainers Charlie Chaplin and Wild Bill Hickok. The tour includes a descent below city streets into vintage brewery tunnels, and explores an underground burial vault in one of Cincinnati’s oldest churches.
Civil War Cincinnati : Dressed in Civil War attire, tour guides spin tales of the heroes who, both acclaimed and forgotten, helped shape the outcome of the “war between the states.” You’ll discover the heroic accomplishments of the courageous Black Brigade, learn the exploits of the Dutch Devils – the first all-German regiment in the Civil War – and learn why Sister Mary Anthony O’Connell became known as “America’s Florence Nigthingale.” The tour also explores the exquisite architecture and history of Memorial Hall and Old St. Mary’s Church – still serving a Sunday mass in German.

Seasonal tours are also offered. For information about tour times and ticket prices, visit American Legacy Tours.
